Shocking! Saudi holy sites swelter in record-breaking heat during Hajj

Scorching Heat Strikes Holy Sites During Hajj Pilgrimage

The scorching temperatures in Makkah have shattered records this year, with the Saudi Health Ministry reporting unprecedented heat waves at the holy sites.

The mercury rose to a staggering 51.8 degrees Celsius in the shade at the central area of the Grand Mosque, while Arafat saw temperatures reach 48 degrees Celsius and Mina and Muzdalifah hit 46 degrees Celsius.

Faced with these extreme conditions, the ministry has issued a warning to pilgrims to take precautions against heat-related illnesses. They advised pilgrims to limit their sun exposure, stay well-hydrated, and seek shelter in shaded areas whenever possible.
