Stunning Imaan Hammam Struts for Ralph Lauren in NYC

Imaan Hammam Stuns at Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 Show

DUBAI: Dutch Moroccan Egyptian model Imaan Hammam graced the runway in New York City on Monday at the Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 show.

Hammam captivated the audience in a soft, ethereal button-down silk dress in a radiant metallic cream hue. Her outfit was complemented by a beige cardigan buttoned at the center.

To complete her stunning look, she carried a matching purse draped over her shoulder and flaunted shoulder-grazing dangling earrings.

Ralph Lauren Showcased Timeless Elegance

The Ralph Lauren show, inspired by Lauren’s first women’s fashion show in 1972, exuded a sense of minimalism for the brand. The star-studded front row included actors Glenn Close, Jessica Chastain, Kerry Washington, Rebecca Hall, and Jodie Turner-Smith.

The collection featured designs in soothing neutral tones like tans, browns, grays, black, and metallics. Both daytime and evening wear were characterized by a soft palette, including tailored jackets, sweaters, trousers, and slinky sequined gowns. The collection also featured roomy sweaters, boots, and wide leather belts with “RL” buckles.

Western Accents and Memorable Looks

The show incorporated Lauren’s signature Western accents, such as long fringes on coats and jacket sleeves, along with cowboy hats. A standout piece was a backless gown dress in sparkly gold that closed the show in a memorable fashion.

At 84, Ralph Lauren made a brief appearance at the end of the show, donning well-worn jeans to cheers from the crowd.

Glenn Close Shines in Custom Ralph Lauren Pantsuit

Glenn Close graced the event in a white Ralph Lauren pantsuit, describing it as a special custom piece made five years ago. She shared that she had previously worn the suit to a SAG award ceremony and emphasized the importance of quality and longevity in fashion.

Close reflected on her upbringing in New England, where the mentality was to invest in high-quality pieces and wear them until they wore out, showcasing a timeless approach to style.
