Lou Gala Shines in Elie Saab at New York Premiere of “The Decameron”

French actress Lou Gala dazzled on the red carpet at the New York premiere of her new Netflix show, “The Decameron,” in a stunning ensemble by Lebanese designer Elie Saab.

For the “Clips & Conversations” debut event, the 29-year-old chose pieces from Elie Saab’s Spring-Summer 2024 ready-to-wear collection. Her outfit featured a sequined crop top and matching midi skirt adorned with shimmering beads and macrame trims.

Lou Gala also graced Elie Saab’s show during Paris Fashion Week last month, stunning in an all-black ensemble.

“The Decameron,” a series loosely based on the eponymous short story collection, is currently streaming on Netflix.

Created and showrun by Kathleen Jordan, known for “Teenage Bounty Hunters” and “American Princess,” the series delves into the theme of class struggles during a pandemic as a group of misfits navigate the bubonic plague outbreak in 1348 Florence.

In addition to Gala, the series features Amar Chadha-Patel, Karan Gill, Tony Hale, Zosia Mamet, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and Tanya Reynolds.

Giovanni Boccaccio’s “The Decameron,” first published in Italy in the 14th century, serves as the inspiration for the show. It follows a group of nobles and their servants seeking refuge from the Black Death in Villa Santa near Florence, sharing a variety of stories to pass the time.
