Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister of Defense Meets with Top Pakistan Army Officials
In a high-level meeting in Islamabad, Saudi Arabia’s assistant minister of defense, Talal Al-Otaibi, engaged in discussions with key officials from the Pakistan Army, strengthening ties between the two nations.
During the visit, Al-Otaibi held talks with Gen. Syed Asim Munir, the commander of the army, Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Gen. Muhammad Avais Dastgir, chief of the general staff, to review and enhance relations.
The Saudi-Pakistani Committee also convened during Al-Otaibi’s trip, focusing on bolstering cooperation in defense, including research and development, technology transfer, and localization, in alignment with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 development and diversification plan.
