The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in collaboration with the Pilgrim Experience Program, organized the inaugural Umrah and Ziyarah Forum at the King Salman International Convention Center in Madinah.

The three-day event, taking place from April 22-24, is being held under the patronage of Prince Salman bin Sultan, the governor of the Madinah region.

Prince Salman highlighted the leadership’s dedication to improving Hajj and Umrah services during the prosperous era of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He expressed the importance of providing top-notch services to the guests of God and emphasized the need for continuous improvement in the Umrah and visit sector.

Forum serves as platform for specialists to exchange experiences and enrich visitors’ experience

The forum provides a unique opportunity for specialists to engage in dialogue sessions, discussion panels, and exchange experiences to develop recommendations that enhance visitors’ experience.

Prince Salman expressed hope for positive outcomes from the forum and commended the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, and the ministry’s employees for organizing the event.

Exhibition showcases services offered by tourism and travel companies

Prince Salman visited the exhibition held alongside the forum, which featured over 100 pavilions showcasing services from tourism and travel companies, Umrah agencies, academic institutions, and more.

The exhibition highlighted services from sectors such as hospitality, catering, transportation, healthcare, technology, communications, and banking.

Focus on enriching Umrah and Hajj experience aligning with Vision 2030 goals

Discussions at the forum centered around enriching the Umrah and Hajj experience while aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030.

Minister Al-Rabiah emphasized the Pilgrim Experience Program as a key component of Vision 2030, aiming to enhance visitors’ experience and manage the influx of worshippers and visitors.

Significant agreements signed to improve services at historical sites

Four key agreements were signed during the opening ceremony, focusing on establishing awareness centers for pilgrims, water supply funds, repairing water facilities, and supporting the needs of historical mosques.

Additionally, the forum includes dialogue sessions, workshops, competitions, and a hackathon to further enrich the visitor experience and promote innovation in the sector.
