Travellers are in for a treat as Etihad Airways, the flagship carrier of the UAE, has partnered with China Eastern Airlines to enhance air connectivity between the two countries. This groundbreaking commercial deal, signed at Etihad Airways headquarters in Abu Dhabi, is set to take off in early 2025, promising seamless travel experiences for passengers.

Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, expressed his excitement about the joint venture, stating that it marks a significant milestone in the partnership between the two airlines. Reciprocal Frequent Flyer Programs
In addition to the joint venture, both airlines plan to implement full reciprocity to their existing frequent flyer programs by the final quarter of 2024. This will allow passengers to easily earn points and redeem rewards when flying with either Etihad Airways or China Eastern Airlines.

China Eastern Airlines Chairman Wang Zhiqing highlighted the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and the UAE, emphasizing the strategic collaboration between the two countries.
