Unveiling Alkhobar’s Spectacular New Performing Arts Theater: Fantakah! Lights, Camera, Action Await!

Fantakah: A Creative Hub in Alkhobar

In a quiet corner of Alkhobar, a new performing arts center has emerged this spring. Fantakah is not just a space, but a vibrant hub for improv classes, original plays, and all things creative. Curated by a dynamic team of six individuals, Fantakah is the brainchild of those who have dedicated themselves to nurturing imagination and artistry.

A Diverse Team with a Shared Passion

The team behind Fantakah is a diverse mix of talents and backgrounds. From the founder and chief operating officer Husain Zaberi to the financial and legal manager Abdulrazaq Salamah, each member brings a unique perspective to the table. Saudis and non-nationals alike come together to create a melting pot of creativity.

From Late-Night Ideas to Reality

The inception of Fantakah was a late-night brainstorming session between two friends, Ali Baokbah and Husain Zaberi. What started as a casual conversation evolved into a full-fledged performing arts center. The name “Fantakah” itself is a fusion of Arabic words, reflecting the essence of storytelling and artistry.

Overcoming Challenges and Embracing Change

Despite facing setbacks, including the disruption caused by COVID-19, the team at Fantakah persevered. Through online platforms and virtual performances, they stayed connected and continued to grow their community. Post-lockdown, finding a permanent space became a priority, leading to the birth of the theater in March.

A Space for Creativity and Collaboration

The newly renovated theater is a testament to the team’s dedication and passion. With multi-purpose rooms, innovative design elements, and a cozy ambiance, Fantakah is more than just a venue. It is a place where local creatives can come together to explore their talents and share their stories.

Embracing Diversity and Artistic Expression

From karaoke nights to improv shows, Fantakah offers a wide range of activities for artists and enthusiasts alike. With plans for Arabic plays, National Day events, and workshops in the pipeline, the future looks bright for this emerging creative hub.
