Saudi Arabia Warns Against Unauthorized Donations During Ramadan
In a recent announcement, authorities in Saudi Arabia have emphasized the importance of making donations during Ramadan through approved channels within the Kingdom. The Saudi Press Agency reported that this directive is aimed at safeguarding charitable activities and ensuring their financial sustainability. There are concerns that some entities or individuals may exploit the holy month of Ramadan to solicit funds from citizens and residents under the guise of charitable donations.
For those looking to contribute internationally, the only authorized entity outside the Kingdom is the Saudi aid agency KSrelief, as per the SPA. Donors who fail to adhere to these guidelines will face consequences in line with the Kingdom’s regulations, according to a spokesperson from the Presidency of State Security.
