Watch Arafat Sermon Live – Reaching 1 Billion Worldwide!

Arafat Sermon Reaches 1 Billion Listeners Worldwide

The Arafat sermon delivered at Namira Mosque in Makkah drew an incredible audience of 1 billion listeners worldwide, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Groundbreaking Translation Initiative

King Salman of Saudi Arabia launched a pioneering initiative in 2018 to translate the sermon live into 20 languages. Additionally, there were non-simultaneous translations into 17 other languages.

Promoting Moderation and Peace

The project, led by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, aims to spread the message of moderation and centrism advocated by the holy sites. Translated sermons focus on promoting peace, coexistence, and a deeper understanding of Islam’s core values.

Expanding Reach and Impact

Since its inception, the project has grown significantly. Originally offered in just five languages, it now reaches a wider audience through various platforms, including digital platforms, FM radio, and Islamic television channels. In 2020, the project surpassed 200 million listeners.

Commitment to Serving Islam

Saudi Arabia’s dedication to serving Islam and the global Muslim community is evident through this translation initiative. By sharing the message of the holy sites with the entire Muslim world, the Kingdom upholds its sacred responsibility of caring for the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
