Wildlife Center’s Incredible Release of 60 Seabirds at Al-Azizyah Beach!

Riyadh: National Wildlife Center Releases Rehabilitated Seabirds Back into Natural Habitat

In a remarkable initiative, the National Center for Wildlife recently set free 60 seabirds at Al-Aziziyah Beach in the Eastern Province after undergoing rehabilitation.

This move highlights the global commitment and dedicated efforts to protect and preserve these magnificent species, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency.

Among the released seabirds were three great egrets, seven Caspian gulls, 46 black-headed gulls, and four Slender-billed gulls, all aimed at enhancing biodiversity and ecological equilibrium.

CEO of the wildlife center, Mohammed Ali Qurban, emphasized that the release of these seabirds post-rehabilitation is in line with the organization’s unwavering commitment to achieving its goals in wildlife sustainability, ecosystem preservation, and enrichment, while also ensuring the protection of biodiversity.

This action not only fulfills international obligations and endeavors to safeguard these species but also supports the implementation of the national strategy for environmental protection and the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which strives to create a more attractive environment and enhance the quality of life for all.
